Feeddo 0.4.3 & 0.5

FEATURE – Differentiate visually favorite and non-favorite subscriptions in the dashboard. Allow users to toggle subscription favorite status from within the dashboard (thank you to Ludo for suggesting that).

FEATURE – Ability to preview the website even from the article page. This is useful if the user wants to quickly read the comments or if the entry is partial (but not detected as partial from feeddo) or if the article includes scripts and plugins removed because of security concerns.

FEATURE – Added an about page to allow users to determine which version of feeddo they are running. This will be usefully for troubleshoot/debugging sesssions. You can access it through the about link on the top right of the page.

FEATURE – In a category page, if you click on the name of a subscription in the right index box which has unread articles, Feeddo will first scroll the category page so that the clicked subscription is displayed as one of the three visible subscriptions. If you click again, you will do to the subscription page. If you do not like this behavior, please let us know and we will as a preference knob.

FIXED – Bug reported by Michal and Ludo on the subscription header being offset on the subscription page if you use the “fadeIn” page transition style.

FIXED – There was a bug in the self update section of the boot: the URL location where the boot looks for latest application version was incorrect. This has been fixed. We had to increase the version from 0.4 to 0.5 to force an update of the boot through the Firefox update. So you might get prompted to do an explicit Firefox upgrade (and hopefully it will self upgrade from then on – at least until we find the next boot bug!).

Note: The feeddo server was offline for 12 hours last night. We are looking for a more reliable internet hosting solution – more reliable than using DynDNS over a comcast line! Sorry for the inconvenience.
