Here is how is works. We have various agents polling for various aspects of the feeddo service. If there is any problem, they twit the status of the service to We can follow feeddo to receive SMS messages when problems are detected. We will also include that status back into so that users can have real-time visibility into the problems we are running into and what the team is doing to address them. Simple and transparent.

  1. Lovely idea. Too bad it doesn’t work with internal systems that you don’t want to publicly disclose. But i can see a lot of use at sending nagios alerts there instead of mailboxes …

    Maybe creating twitter accounts with long hashes such as what google is doing with picasa web would just work in that case ?
