Appending #feedly/[#feedly] to messages (Updated)

picture-171

As noticed by Brandon, patch 1.2.136 is changing the tweet behavior in feedly, appending a #feedly to the end of the messages. The reason we are doing this is not purely marketing/credit however, we are instead running an experiment around tracking how twitter messages flow and this was the only way we found to track re-tweets. You can start seeing the result of that experience by adding: +#feedly or +RT +#feedly to your twitter searches.

If you find it too annoying, we added a preference knob called Feedly Postfix which allows you to customize this behavior and opt out of the experiment.

Updated, Feb 18th, 2009: We are scaling this “feature”/experiment from a subset of the users to all the users. If you are not interested in participating, simply go to the preferences page and set the feedly postix preference know to an empty string.
