Connect feedly to over 300 apps with Zapier

Feedly + Zapier

Feedly is an indispensable business tool for many of you, alongside your project management app, team communication tool and to-do list. Though feedly Pro already integrates with a growing number of great third-party apps, we know there are others you wish you could connect to your feedly.

That’s why we’re excited to announce feedly now integrates with Zapier, the easiest way to connect the many business apps you use. In fact, Zapier connects to over 300 apps — chances are, if you use it, you can now connect it to feedly.

Now when you want to share a great read in your team’s HipChat room, all it takes is a “HipChat” tag on that article. Or if you want to make sure you actually get to all those “Saved for Later” articles, you can automatically add each as a task in Asana. These new integrations, available exclusively for feedly Pro subscribers, take only a few steps to set up with Zapier.

Zapier saves you time by automating routine and time-consuming tasks. Say, for instance, you repetitively share your “Saved for Later” articles with your team. With Zapier, you could set up an integration that creates a new card on a team-shared Trello board for each new “Saved for Later” article. The best part: no coding is required, and setting it up takes just minutes.

With Zapier, you can connect feedly to project management apps such as Asana, Basecamp, Trello and Podio, team communication tools such as HipChat, Slack, Campfire and Yammer, and task management apps such as Google Tasks and Todoist.

To get started, follow these three simple steps:

  1. Sign up for a Zapier account;
  2. Connect your feedly account to Zapier (click here for a tutorial); and
  3. Check out a few of the pre-made feedly Zaps or start creating your own.

    1. IFTTT and Zapier are both focusing on the internet integration space. We are excited to have them both as partners. IFTTT seems to focus more on ease of use and consumers. Zapier seems to focus more on business, reliability and connection types. Try both and see which one works best for you.

    2. While there are similarities between Zapier and IFTTT there are a lot of differences too.

      1. The number of services support: Zapier at 300+ and IFTTT at 90.
      2. The types of service. Zapier supports a lot of apps you’d find in a work setting.
      3. Zapier allows multiple accounts to be connecting. So for instance if you have two Twitter accounts you want to share feedly content to, then Zapier can do that.
      4. A filtering engine that lets you be even more granular about what’s triggered.

All this adds up to quite a bit of power when it comes to automation, while still in a simple UI.

      1. Plus Zapier is a paid service, while IFTTT is free. I would think some would see that as a plus, others a minus.

  1. I don’t know where I can ask you this…
Can we expect a statement about feedly and heartbleed ?

    Thank you

  2. The Zapier signup page says for last name, “What your army buddies call you.” The assumptions made about users here is such that I am not interested in the service. I’m even not pleased by “buddies”. I’m just mentioning this in case the feedback is useful.

  3. I am still trying to get your attention for help. I am frustrated about Feedly operation… and I would like to get the full benefit for the pro that I paid for. Please send me tutorial video so I will be best equipped for the benefit.
