Today, we’re excited to bring you feedly Login, a new way to add a dedicated feedly login to your feedly newsfeed.
This means that you have the freedom to keep your newsfeed separate from your social logins, if you prefer to, and get even more control over your privacy. It is an optional feature: If you are happy with your existing login, you can ignore this post and continue to use your existing login without making any changes.
Adding a feedly Login to your existing login options is easy:
- Go to http://feedly.com/i/logins
- Click on the “Add login” button
- Select the “Add feedly login” option
- Enter the email and password you would like to use for your feedly login
Once you have added a feedly Login to your account, you may choose to remove the previously used social logins. Or you could choose to keep multiple logins for your newsfeed.
You can also use feedly Login on your phone or tablet. To do that, please upgrade to the latest versions feedly for iOS and feedly for Android.
We are happy to cross this highly requested feature off the roadmap we shared with the community last month. Thanks to the feedly Pro funding, the development of new features is accelerating. Thank you for your backing!
We look forward to hearing what you think and answering any questions you may have.

FAQs
Q: Do I have to use the feedly login?
Nope, you don’t have to. You can keep using your current login credentials and not touch anything, if you wish.
Q: What are the password rules?
Your password must be at least eight characters long. That’s it!
Q: Does my password expire?
No, it doesn’t expire.
Q: I got an email to confirm my feedly email address. Do I have to click on the link?
The short answer is yes. It’s a good idea to confirm your email because it will enable you to reset your password if you forget it.
Q: Can I reset my password?
Yes, if you forgot your password, you can reset it from the login page and we’ll send you instructions. We can only send an email if you have verified your email address (see above).
While logged-in to Feedly, when I click the “+Add login” button, I am not seeing your new green “Continue with Feedly” button, only the Google and Facebook login buttons. When I log out, and click on the login button, I do see the green button, but obviously cannot use it because I do not have a Feedly login yet (since I could not add it while logged-in with my Google login). How do I create a Feedly login now?
Can you please reload https://feedly.com and try again? It should work now. -Edwin
After the last update cannot open feedly on iPhone, always crashes at start.
For me, too.
Crashes on start on iPad as well.
Yes. Sorry. There is a bug on iOS 7 and iOS 8 again. We are looking into it.
Wow. I’m not going to be so quick to step next time. I encountered two problems on IOS 8.4 and cannot use it on my phone at this time. Maybe it was a little rushed?
Do you not test the updates before releasing them!!. Two updates in a row that crash on startup! How on earth do these things not get picked up
I miss feedly! It crashes on my older ipad…after an auto update
Crashes on start on iPad as well.
What’s the status of the resolution of the bug crashing on startup for iOS 7 & 8? This is frankly disappointing.
Still can’t open feedly on my iPhone. It’s been crashing since the update! What’s the point of an update if all it does is crash the app?!
Feedly team, why are you talking about a “bug”? You were totally aware of this incompatibility, you wrote it in the description: https://gyazo.com/26e703473d8c7d68df28dac0ac6236d3 and this update is a major release (31.0.0). Don’t you know that majority of users have automatically updates? I wonder what went through the head of your lead developer, it is a serious mistake.
Is the rollout not completed yet? If I go to https://feedly.com/i/logins, click add login I don’t have the option for Feedly login.
same here
Me too. Nothing. I’m using a Google account and I’d really like to do the switch to the native Feedly login.
on iPad Air 2, multitasking isn’t 100% working, when viewing the list of news items, they don’t automatically fit the window it’s in, the news item itself does. please fix.
Yes. We have not worked on side by side support yet.
I am one of yout biggest fans. Use the app often everyday. But after new update app just closes when I click it on iPhone 6. (iOS 8)
Very similar to bug from last update.
Hopefully we’ll see a rollback option and new fix update soon.
Thanks and keep up the great work
Yes. Sorry. There is a bug on iOS 7 and iOS 8 again. We are looking into it.
Nope, no option to add a feedly login.
Can you please reload https://feedly.com and try again? It should work now. -Edwin
Same issue. The Green button doesn’t appear.
Can you please reload https://feedly.com and try again? It should work now. -Edwin
Same issue here. There is no green feedly button in the log-in settings.
Can you please reload https://feedly.com and try again? It should work now. -Edwin
Thank you for bringing out this long sought-after feature. However I have the same issue as most others here — Continue with Feedly is not available when I’m logged in. I can see it when I’m logged out and then try to log in, though.
Can you please reload https://feedly.com and try again? It should work now. -Edwin
It seems that new users can create a “feedly login”, but existing users looking to add another login type, don’t see the green feedly button between google and facebook.
Can you please reload https://feedly.com and try again? It should work now. -Edwin
This Safari View thing is super unusable, event after update swipe don’t work. Please provide option for good old UIWebView, like in this https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CTh29t3UsAAG5nY.jpg
Same here – No Add Feedly Login…
Can you please reload https://feedly.com and try again? It should work now. -Edwin
Is it possible to convert from a Google login to a Feedly login, and transfer the “Pro” status from one account to another?
Yes. Please follow the instructions in the blog post to add a new feedly Login to your account and then go to the same https://feedly.com/i/logins page and remove your google login.
Why are we talking about logins? This whole browser situation is the only thing that matters.
I still can’t swipe from the screen to the next article after opening it in the browser. I don’t care if it’s Safari or Chrome, but I don’t want a back/done button. Edge swipe seems to work from the left to go back. I want to go forward to the next article from anywhere on the screen.
Seriously, drop me an email so we can work this out. You’ve destroyed a key use case on navigation and I just miss the pre-Safari Viewer functionality.
Never mind. I’m good. Played with Safari Viewer and found the tap to forward to the next article. Still wish it was a swipe gesture, but I’ll deal with it.
Glad to hear that we are making progress. Happy reading. -Edwin
If someone could please update us when this is fixed that would be helpful. Would love to use the Feedly login if the choice was there in select options – just like everyone else.
Can you please reload https://feedly.com and try again? It should work now. -Edwin
Thank you – that worked fine. Have an Awesome Day!
Can’t launch the app again on iOS 8. Just like the last update. Let us know when the fix is out?
Yes. Sorry :-( there is a bug again with iOS 7 and iOS 8. The dev team is looking into it.
Feedly auto updated and now I crashes upon open. Use this app for everything. Help please!
About time,
thanks
As other user are seeing, Feedly crashes when it opens. Any timeline on the fix/ roll-back for iOS8?
Can’t open Feedly on iOS8/5s. Just adding my voice to the clamour for a fix.
Soon.
Please.
I needs my feeds.
I have an iphone 5, running ios 9.1. Feedly app keeps trying to update and it keeps getting stuck “installing.” I can’t delete the app and start over, either.
Crashing with the other iOS 8 users….major bummer! I know you’re on it, Feedly!
Feedly made me login today and then presented me w the tutorial and a completely empty app. Everything gone. Tried logging in, logging out. Nothing.
Well done, guys!
I’d like to find out more? I’d love to find out more details.
I haven’t been able to use Feedly on my iPhone for two days. Restarted, reloaded- nothing.
Help!
Feedly decided to stop iOS7 and iOS8 support on their last major update 31.0.0. They just wrote a message in the update description https://gyazo.com/26e703473d8c7d68df28dac0ac6236d3
The main problem is that the majority of users have automatic updates, and for the ones that have manually updates, lot didn’t take care to read the description. Thus, since last update, a lot of users are reporting crashes, and there is no way to go back to previous version. I have no idea why the Feedly decided to doing that like this. I wrote a comment about this in the post talking about this update in this blog and it’s been removed, I don’t know what is happenning. Feedly Team please respond.
Not working at all on IPad. My fault for using this PoS, but for now at least I can’t afford anything else, so please try to fix.
If iOS uses are experiencing the big, can we atleast have access to feedly website through safari? It only shows me a link to download the feedly app for iOS.
I updated to IOS 9 and can launch the app and read blogs within the app. However if I try to visit the website to leave a comment then it crashes every time.
Please help!
I am so annoyed by this bug on iOS 8 that I am actively seeking an alternative. No one who was affected by their bug should continue to support feedly.
Let’s together find and share alternatives and never look back at feedly. Feedly committed a mortal mistake and now needs to accept the consequences.
Let’s post the alternatives here so that others can find relief from feedly’ user abuse.
I updated the feedly app on iOS 7.1.2 (iPhone 4).
Since the update the app is crashing. The app wont open, so I can’t use it anymore :/
Please fix it, or send me a link to get the previous version.
PLEASE!!
I don’t have a backup to the previous version.. If I had I would just revert to it.
Please help.
Thanks!
Shimon.
Seriously, is feedly for iOS not getting fixed? I’ve maybe 2-3 days max before I’m finding another reader
I have an IPad 2 with iOS 9.1. All worked fine until the v.31 auto update. Now Feedly crashes intermittently, but ALWAYS when I go to gq.com to read an article. It initially acts like it’s okay, then crashes as the ads on the site begin to load down the right side of the page. Since I frequently read articles on GQ, the app crashes are making Feedly unserviceable for my purposes. Please either fix the app or give us the option to rollback to v.30, which worked just fine for my purposes. I’ve been using Feedly since Google Reader ended, and have like the app very much to this point. However, the present situation is a mess. Please get it together, Edwin.
Guys, it’s been 6 days, you got to give us something ! As you may know, we use your app everyday, you can’t let us down like that without news…
I don’t know, cancel the last update or something… You got to do something, and do it fast, if you want to keep us…
I have been using Feedly for years on my Ipad. Happily. Recently Feedly stopped autofilling my name, email and URL on blogs that I comment on regularly. Before I only had to enter this once and Feedly would remember for future comments (EXCEPT Blogger blogs..but that’s their problem…) This is such a bummer. Huge time suck to have to reenter all this basic info again and again. I searched your website for customer support contact info and found nothing, so I am commenting here out of desperation. I have tried Googling for a solution, and I have tried fiddling with the autofill options in Safari settings with no luck. This problem started a couple of weeks again with an app upgrades. Please help. If I can’t solve this soon, I have will have to switch to a different RSS app that is going to work seamlessly for me. andreazdavis@gmail.com
Why not add text replacement shortcuts? Seems like an awful minor thing to ditch them over. I will admit though, they do test one’s patience.
I have never heard of that. I will google… Thanks for the tip!
That did help a bit! Thanks! But Feedly crashed on me a dozen times tonight!?! Good grief.
I’ve been logining to Feedly with my Evernote account for quite a long time. Now, I’ve had enough receiving e-mail sabout logging to Feedly with my Evernote account. Apart from this, I would like to have standalone Feedly account, which won’t depend on my Evernote one. Is it possible to disconnect Evernote from Feedly and “create” new Feedly account with transfered data from my old Evernote one?
Add the Feedly login here: https://feedly.com/i/logins then remove your Evernote credentials once you have added Feedly’s.
You actually make it appear so easy with your presentation but I to find this topic to be really one thing which I believe I would never understand. It kind of feels too complex and extremely huge for me. I am taking a look ahead to your next submit, I’ll attempt to get the grasp of it!
Anything? Crashing here too!!!!

I’m impressed, I have to admit. Rarely do I come across a blog that’s both equally educative and interesting, and without a doubt, you have hit the nail on the head. The problem is something that too few folks are speaking intelligently about. Now i’m very happy that I came across this during my search for something concerning this.
